Taoyuan City Mayor Cheng Wen-Tsan held the City Council meeting on July 24 and awarded a certificate of Honorary Citizenship to Mr. Benoît Guidée, Director of the French Office in Taipei. Mayor Cheng said that Director Benoît Guidée has rich diplomatic experience and has accelerated the exchanges of technology, innovation and culture between Taiwan and France during his term of office, making our friendship reach new milestones. Furthermore, he is a good friend of Taiwan and Taoyuan. Today, by awarding a certificate of Honorary Citizenship to Director Benoît Guidée, we not only express our gratitude for his efforts in exchanges between Taiwan and France but also wish Director Guidée a successful diplomatic career and may the friendship between Taiwan and France last forever.
