   Q:What documents are required when applying for a visa to enter the Republic of China (Taiwan) ?
A:

1.A passport which is valid for travel to Taiwan and which is valid for at least six months is necessary. Moreover, the passport must not have been stamped with the note “Prohibited from entering the Republic of China.”
2.A properly completed visa application form, which can be obtained free of charge from ROC embassies,  consulates, representative offices, as well as from the Bureau of Consular Affairs (BOCA) and its branch offices, is also necessary. The form can also be downloaded from BOCA's Web site . The applicant must sign the form to confirm the truthful content of the form. Two photographs must be attached to the visa application form. The photographs should be "2 x 2" in size, and must have been taken within the past six months. The photographs may be either in colour or black and white, and must have been taken against an slightly white color background. (If the applicant decides not to apply for a visa after the application form has been submitted, he or she may withdraw the application. However, the application fee is non-refundable.) 


 
Q:Do foreigners with a landing visa, visitor visa, or a visa exemption need to apply for an Alien Resident Certificate (ARC) after arriving in ROC?
A:

No. Only foreigners who hold resident visas need to apply for an ARC. If applicants enter ROC with a visitor visa, they need to apply for a resident visa at the Bureau of Consular Affairs of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs. Within 15 days from the day following receiving their resident visa, the applicants need to apply for an ARC at the local service center of National Immigration Agency.

Q: How can I get to Taoyuan County Hall?
A:


Arriving by car or public transport:
The Sun Yat-Sen Freeway (National 1), take the Nankan exit→ Chunjih Rd. → right turn onto Sanmin Rd. → right turn onto Jungshan Rd. → Taoyuan County Hall
The Sun Yat-Sen Freeway (National 1), take the airport interchange eastward (National 2) → take the Taoyuan exit → turn right onto Guoji Rd. → turn left onto Wen Jung Rd. →Taoyuan County Hall
Take a Taoyuan City Bus (No.1) getting off at the County Government (Hsien Jung-Fu), or Bus (No.101) to Taoyuan County Hall 


  
Q: How can I get to Taoyuan Night Market
A:


Bus: Take the Taoyuan-Jhungli bus; get off at the Jinfu Temple at the corner of Jhongjheng Road and Jhongshan Road; and walk through the temple for about 15 minutes to get there.
Train: Get off at the Taoyuan Railway Station next to the Taiwan Motor Transport Station. Walk along Jhongjheng Road to the Jinfu Temple via Chenggong Road. Walk through the temple for about 15 minutes to get there.

   Driving: Get down the Taiwan Highway No. 1 from the Nankan Exit. Drive toward Taoyuan City and then along Jhongjheng Road.  


  
Q: How can I get to Chungli Sinming Night Market
A:


Bus: Take the Chasi or Sinwu line from the Taoyuan Bus Company from the Jhungli Railway Station.
Driving: Get off the highway from the Chungli Exit, drive toward Jhungli, drive along Minzu Road and turn left at Sinming Road.
